Ampcare online ESP Certification - Utah SLP Only

Outline:
The Ampcare online ESP certification course is offered for 0.8 ASHA CEU’s. The training consists of an introduction and 11 modules that cover the anatomy and physiology of the swallow response, muscle fiber types and recruitment patterns, fundamental principles of electrotherapy, and past and current research. Each module is completed on demand at the participant’s own pace and will be followed by a short, comprehensive quiz to ensure understanding of the material.

Although this course is set up to be completed online, we will be offering a hybrid online/in-person course. The learners will complete the introduction and Modules 1-6 on their own. We will then meet and complete modules 7-11 in a group setting followed by a lab.

Our lab will consist of new learners as well as clinicians recertifying that have used Ampcare for the last 3 years. Those re-certifying clinicians will help new learners through the lab process to give a hands on learning experience.

Dates of Importance:

7/15/22: must have completed Modules 1-6 online
7/16/2022: In-Person at St Joseph villa. Complete Modules 7-11 and lab
