As a Respiratory Therapist you will play a crucial role in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with pulmonary disorders. Your expertise will ensure the highest standard of care for patients in a skilled nursing setting, contributing to their recovery and quality of life. You will help with the following:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on pulmonary rehabilitation, considering the specific needs of each patient.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as chest physiotherapy, postural drainage, and aerosolized medication administration to improve lung function and patient well-being.
- Educate patients and their families on lung health, breathing exercises, and strategies to improve daily functioning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all treatment plans, interventions, and patient progress.
- Stay current with the latest respiratory therapy techniques and technologies, integrating them into patient care as appropriate.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all respiratory therapy equipment.
Qualifications:
Licensed Respiratory Therapist
